Practical Tips

At crowded attractions, shoot within 30 minutes of opening — fewest people. The Great Wall (Mutianyu section) is nearly empty before 8am on weekdays. Drones require advance flight permits; no-fly zones include inside Beijing’s 5th Ring Road, airport vicinities, and military areas.
